1995-1996, 1997

Tom Edd Wilson was Council President from 1995 to 1996, and then again in 1997 after the presidency of Robert Albritton concluded.


From the February 19, 1995 Chattanooga Free Press:


Thomas E. Wilson, president of the East Tennessee Region of NationsBank, was recently named president of the Cherokee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America for 1995.


This Scout Council, headquartered in Chattanooga, serves 12 local counties, and at the end of last year, served 9,000 youth members through the efforts of over 2,000 adult volunteers.

An Eagle Scout, Mr. Wilson has been in banking since 1966 and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.


In addition to the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Wilson is involved in a wide variety of local civic organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors of United Way of Greater Chattanooga, Chattanooga Venture, Allied Arts of Greater Chattanooga, Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise.


Mr. Wilson also served as chairman of the recent Symphony Gala to benefit the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Association.
