FLAG PLACEMENT
The Chattanooga Boy Scouts have participated in Memorial Day activities at the Chattanooga National Cemetery since as early as 1915. Today, these exercises include placing flags on gravesites.

HIWASSEE RIVER RAFT RACE
The Great Hiwassee Raft Race started in 1978 as a North Hamilton District event. In 1979, the North Hamilton District ran the event again, but as a Council-wide event. Since then, the event has been either a district event or council event.
