T. Rudd Loder

1931-1932

Thomas Rudd Loder was Council President from 1931-1932 and 1933 recipient of the Silver Beaver award.


He was born on May 17, 1893 to Jerome Francis Loder and Sarah Leona Rudd.


He married Hardie H. Loder, and had daugther Sarah H. Loder and son T. Rudd Loder, Jr.  A photo of T. Rudd Loder, Jr. is included in the image collection linked below.


His obituary stated: "Loder - Thomas Rudd Sr, 84, of 302 Peachbloom Dr, Chattanooga, died Saturday morning in a local hospital. Mr Loder was a member of and a trustee of the Trinity Woodmore United Methodist Church and a member of the Knights of Pythians. He was a former president of the Boy Scouts Council and was awarded the Silver Beaver of the Boy Scouts. He was active in the Senior Neighbors and a life member of the Chattanooga Chapter, Tennessee Archeological Society. He was employed with Cavalier Corp, retiring in 1958. He was the husband of the late Hardie H Loder. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Sarah L Hipp of Chattanooga, and one son Thomas R Loder Jr of Huntsville, Ala; one brother, Neil J Loder of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Mrs Sarah Hipp Love of Chattanooga; Miss Virginia Sue Loder of Mobile, Ala, and Thomas R Loder III of Huntsville, Ala; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. . . ."
